The art story of three young contemporary artists begins with a moving idea of ​​exploring relationships with the subject of a female figure. They are joined by the same need and thought, and differentiate approach and expression, which is a challenge for the observer. Conscious movements in postmodern communicative spaces that blur the distance between different types of art, Natalia, Una and Jovan experiment in the field of representational art, starting from their own expression, examining the boundaries of visual appearance, each in their own way. In the retained distance of the visual representation of the figure on the media of paper or canvas and the techniques of photography and painting, one could recognize the germ of introversion, that is, of observing the subject from the inside, without external influences.
Immersed in the modern age of diversity and choice, it is increasingly difficult to recognize the primal need and to identify and distinguish it personally, individually from the collective. I would pause at this very moment to observe the intuitive inner sensibilities shaped by the visible form of female figures. The very term figure has more meaning depending on what that term entails. The theme of the exhibition “Figure through thought” is presented through the visual manifestations of figural appearance, and the broader concept is in the content that carries the shaped forms of individual thought. In the process of designing the thematic unit we can meet the encounter of three artistic entities.

NATALIJA MILADINOVIC expresses her thought through the process of objective observation of the physical transformation of internal energy that occurs through the movement of the female body of an individual model. Each photograph is an elaborately composed composition that captures carefully chosen transformative processes of the release of spirit in relation to matter. Self-shaped figural forms contain the story of each individual model that practically flows into the flow of the whole. The distinctive play of light and shadow reveals a visual reminiscence of the fine art of the Baroque masters of painting, shifted to the medium of photography. It is in this approach to photography as a composition of artistically blended elements that recognizes Natalia’s naturalistic artistic expression in photography.
JOVANA JAREBICA is fascinated by the way she approaches photography. In fact, through a “photographic click”, she records the finished process of interacting with the model. Painting a woman’s body with fluorescent colors to have an aesthetized new appearance of form in a photograph, she is practically experimenting with the real. The color intensity symbolizes the intensity of the need for engagement with the woman as a being. It paints the border between the body and the canvas by painting directly on the body. The work of Jovan’s work is recognizable by the desire for symbiosis of different branches of art. The newly aesthetics of photography of the recorded raw energy of pure and instantaneous emotion is an experiment of thought process in which John seeks out both the personal and social role of art.
UNA NIKOLIC relinquishes his thoughtful appearance to the moment. The process of art-shaping a composition, which follows the current state of the relationship between consciousness and emotion, can be compared with the elements of fantasy, the idea of ​​magic that is distant from the real, existing in the hidden states of the mind. Body shaped figures are indefinite, do not belong to anyone, they are living beings reduced to a symbol. The feeling of the magical atmosphere is augmented by the fluidity of the moves when shaping the thought content in an undefined space and indefinitely. I would look for the uniqueness of Una’s artistic expression in the open emotion expressed through the symbol and the indulgent imagination.
