The conference unveils 13 joint cultural projects, which represent revolutionary creativity and create sustainable connections across the Western Balkans and the EU. In 2019, Creative Europe published a call for proposals: Cultural cooperation projects in the Western Balkans. The aim of the call was to increase cultural cooperation in the region and with EU member states, as well as to strengthen the competitiveness of cultural and creative industries in the Western Balkans. This event marks the launch of 13 projects selected by the European Commission from 350 applications. Joint, creative and interdisciplinary projects cover a wide range of sectors and contribute to the cross-sectoral goals of the European Commission. The Platform for Cultural Relations supports the visibility and maximization of the results of these projects at the international level.
Biljana Jotić, the initiator and artistic director, presented the project The rise of women in the culture in WB, which is dedicated to the development of a regional platform of women in the creative part of social reality, a network of female curators who review the curatorial practices of dual reality, in order to encourage the creation, standard and visibility of women.
